The International Fragrance Association of North America put together a nice introductory documentary video about how fragrances are made. It’s worth watching for 20 minutes to learn about what is behind the juice that we love so much.

European Trip 2012 – Day 3 (Paris)

Started today early because I wanted to get a lot done on my last day in Paris. Made it to Planet Rasoir right after they opened and I will tell you that it is nirvana for any of you wetshaving afficionados. I picked up Martin de Candre shaving soap and Fougere bar soap for a friend of mine and some Chamomile preshave oil for myself.
European Trip 2012 – Day 2 (Paris)
Since this is my vacation, I slept in today and started at Etro. The price difference between New York and Paris is insane. I did the Euro conversion and the shirts are between 80 and 120 EURO cheaper in Paris than New York. Picked up a sample of their new scent Greene Street which is really nice.
European Trip 2012 – Day 1 (Paris)
A great day in Paris.
Started at Serge Lutens – smelled and got samples of two new ones- Santal Majuscule and Une voix noire (hard to choose which one I like better). Stopped by The Nose – a really cool store with a great concept. Picked up Marc Buxton Black Angel and smelled everything there. I lucked into meeting one of the owners, who gave me a tour of downstairs.
