European Trip 2013 – Day 1 (Milan)

The happy green car
The happy green car

Here’s a bit of backstory: I DJed until 3am Saturday night and had to be at the airport by 6:45am for an 8:45am flight. So I didn’t sleep much. I had planned to use WiFi on the two connecting flights (Nashville to Detroit and Detroit to LaGuardia) to stay awake so I would definitely pass out on the long haul. That didn’t happen. I sat down and passed out on both of those flights. On the Detroit to JFK flight, I was greeted by a flight attendant who was so full out of attitude, you could tell he was having one of those days when he had to live the stereotype – remind me to file a complaint with Delta about him. The Detroit to JFK flight was delayed, and with the new “board 30 minutes before takeoff or lose your seat on international flights” rule – I had to literally run from the shuttle (JFK has two Delta terminals now connected by a slow JITNEY). That kind of added stress was not appreciated. I barely made it to the plane – sat down, turned off data roaming on my phone, popped a NyQuil, and passed out for the entire trip over.

European Trip 2012 – Day 5 (London)

Slept in today and it felt great.

I started off meeting up with the lovely Lucy from IMD (dance music publicist) and we had a nice catch-up chat and coffee at a pub. As we were walking back to her office she mentioned that there was a new perfume shop that opened recently. I looked in the window and the logos looked like Diptyque but I made a mental note to go back by.

European Trip 2012 – Day 4 (London)

illuminum-3

So, I ran around London today, got back to my hotel and realized that I had misplaced my notes. This really kills me because I had a great day and took good notes. On the upside, I have a pretty good memory, oh wait- what was I talking about?

I started with a list of places I wanted to go to and then ended up wandering around and finding other great places.

European Trip 2012 – Day 3 (Paris)

Gorgeous wall of Jovoy

Started today early because I wanted to get a lot done on my last day in Paris.  Made it to Planet Rasoir right after they opened and I will tell you that it is nirvana for any of you wetshaving afficionados.  I picked up Martin de Candre shaving soap and Fougere bar soap for a friend of mine and some Chamomile preshave oil for myself.
